Carter Romper and Dress PDF Pattern

The Carter Romper and Dress is a lined, knit fabric bodice with several finishing options. Choose the shorties finish for the most perfect romper or the slender skirted option to dress things up. Whether you prefer cross-back straps, flutter sleeves or straight straps, Carter is the right pattern for you. The optional pockets or drawstring add just enough flair and the easy optional snapped inseam on sizes NB-2T make diaper changes painless. With so many options, the Carter is sure to be a seasonal staple in every girl’s wardrobe from sizes NB-12.

Fabric Requirements

* Based on a 56” wide knit fabric romper with pockets. Additional fabric may be required to match patterns or stripes.

1/2 yard for sizes NB-3T

7/8 yards for sizes 3T-6

1 1/4 yards for sizes 7/8-12

1/2-3/4 yard 1/2" non-roll elastic

Optional: 

1/2-3/4 yard 1/2" fold over elastic for straps

Size 16 Open Ring Grip metal snaps

5-7mm metal grommets

fusible interfacing

Drawstring

The pattern is designed for knit fabrics only. The full photo tutorial makes it easy to sew. This is an intermediate level pattern. Included in the pattern is a "Sew Quick" guide with very basic instructions for experienced seamstresses. The pattern is saved in layers which allows the user to print only the size they need when opened in Adobe Reader.  Each size has the neckband, cowl and short sleeve cuff measurements right on the pattern pieces, which helps make it easy to store for using time and time again. Additionally, pattern pieces for these are provided on the pattern tiling.
