Penelope Dress and Top PDF Pattern

The Penelope Dress and Top is a fully lined, narrow backed, knit fabric bodice with three finished lengths. Choose a color blocked hemline for a pop of contrast, or a single fabric skirt made from knit or woven fabric. With two optional pocket lengths and three different strap options, the Penelope is sure to be a seasonal staple in every girl’s wardrobe from sizes NB-12.

Fabric Requirements

* Based on a 56” wide knit fabric maxi length with pockets. Additional fabric may be required to match patterns or stripes.

3/4 yard for sizes NB-12M

1 yard for sizes 18M-4T

1 1/2 yards for sizes 5T-6

2 yards for sizes 7/8-12

 1/2-3/4 yard 3/8” clear elastic- All Sizes

1/2-3/4 yard 1/2" non-roll elastic or 1/2" fold over elastic for straps

The pattern is designed for knit fabrics only in the bodice but a knit or woven fabric may be used for the skirt. The full photo tutorial makes it easy to sew. This is an intermediate level pattern. Included in the pattern is a "Sew Quick" guide with very basic instructions for experienced seamstresses. The pattern is saved in layers which allows the user to print only the size they need when opened in Adobe Reader.  Each size has the neckband, cowl and short sleeve cuff measurements right on the pattern pieces, which helps make it easy to store for using time and time again. Additionally, pattern pieces for these are provided on the pattern tiling.
